ORVA Annual Convention
August 27-28, 2015
Hot Springs, Arkansas

We invite you to attend the Ouachita River Valley Association’s Annual Convention which will be held August 27-28, 2015 at the Embassy Suites/Lake Ouachita Corps of Engineers Project Office in Hot Springs, Arkansas.

The conference theme this year is the Development of Tourism, Recreation and Fish and Wildlife in the Upper Ouachita River Basin.

U.S. Senator John Boozman will serve as the dinner speaker on August 27. Major General Mike Wehr, Commander, Mississippi Valley Division and President of the Mississippi River Commission, U.S. Army Corps of Engineers will serve as keynote speaker on Friday morning, Mr. Bill Barnes will address the conference on Friday and U.S. Congressman Bruce Westerman will serve as the luncheon speaker on Friday, August 28 respectively.

Other notable speakers include Col. John W. Cross, Commander, Vicksburg District, U. S. Army Corps of Engineers; Richard Davies, Director of Arkansas Department of Parks and Tourism and Mike Knoedl, Director of the Arkansas Game and Fish Commission.

This is an excellent opportunity for you to meet and relate to a select group of people who are heavily involved in the development of tourism, recreation and wildlife in the Ouachita River Valley. Learn more about what is happening with recreation and tourism because of the Ouachita River.

Our River is truly one of the primary generators of economic and recreation activity in Central Arkansas, South Arkansas and North Louisiana and we want to maximize the Valley’s overall development from this treasured resource. You don’t want to miss this convention.
